Born in the UK but raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Gillian Bostock ventured east for college and majored in architecture. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City to become a real-live sponge of photographic extrapolapagus. She stayed for five and a half years.

Now, she pursues her own art projects back on the West Coast, employing photography as a means to dabble in philosophical questions concerning the meaning of life and lock its fleeting beauty and the occasional surreal moment into place much like a butterfly pinned beneath museum glass.

More of her work can be found on Blurb and Cowbird.
